Pawar Public School houses a Special Care Cell with three full fledged professional counselors. The department competently deals with a range of psycho-educational problems such as learning disability, slow learners, ADHD/ADD etc. to emotional problems such as indiscipline, depression, low-self-esteem, aggressive tendencies and other adolescence related issues.
The school counselors act both as an educator and a counselor in the Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary sections to provide academic, career and personal/social competencies to students. The interventions as an educator include developmental school counseling curriculum lessons, monthly/annual planning for every student, remedial sessions, group and individual counseling, referral and multi-systematic interventions. Responsive services to students in need are provided through individual and small group guidance and counseling intervention, parent out-reach and referrals. The department also conducts Lion's Quest Life Skills Programme for secondary section students.
