Events - Namaste India 2013

Pawar Public School, Bhandup hosted the Namaste India inter-school competition on 17th August, 2013. The theme 'Colours of India' was beautifully depicted by the various participating schools and gave us a glimpse into the kaleidoscope of our rich culture.

Over 650 participants across different Grades from 27 schools showcased their talent in the drawing, music and dance competitions. The esteemed panel of judges for the Vocal Music competition comprised: Ms Manju Singh, Founder-Director of World Kid's Foundation and Ms.Manjushree Patil, Founder-Director of Aatman Academy, Thane. Ms.Alene Somani and Ms.Falon Netto, Manager and instructor at the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts judged the Dance competition. Mr. Shubhanand Jog, Professor of Sir J.J. School of Art (Applied Art) and Mr. Vivek Tetwilkar, Professor of Rachana Sansad Art College judged the Drawing Competition.

The judges were highly impressed with the young talent and expressed their difficulty in selecting the winners in the various categories.

The school meticulously planned the event, and true to our Indian culture, played the gracious hosts. Each participant added his/her special hue to the large canvas that is the heart of India and yet beautifully merged into the divine and serene white that is the soul of India. In short the true essence of Namaste India was experienced by everyone present.
